Founded in 1991 by Chairman and CEO Neil D. Freeman, Aries Capital has consistently been an industry leader, staying one step ahead of changing economic and industry conditions by innovating new programs and solutions for our clients. In December 2016, Aries Capital’s Commercial Mortgage Banking Group was merged with Conlon & Co‘s Capital Markets Group to form Aries Conlon Capital. Rushi Shah, Tom Reckley, Sean Conlon (Host of CNBC’s The Deed:Chicago), Benjamin Burford and Freeman are principals of the merged firm. In addition to originating through Aries Conlon Capital, Neil continues to head up his other businesses as Chairman and CEO of Aries Capital, LLC.
Government Program Access & Expertise
Through Neil Freeman and Aries Capital, LLC’s affiliate, the Urban Development Fund (UDF), we offer clients access to specialized expertise in the structuring and syndication of New Markets Tax Credits, Historic Tax Credits and other forms of government subsidies and incentives. Established in 2002 and qualified as a Community Development Entity (CDE) by the U.S. Treasury, UDF, along with Aries Capital, has syndicated over $700 million in New Markets Tax Credits and Historic Tax Credits. Projects include the rehabilitation of historic hotels in New Orleans and Louisville (such as the famous The Roosevelt New Orleans), renovations of regional malls in Minneapolis and Dallas, the redevelopment of a retail center in San Diego, and the new construction of a medical office building in Chicago.
