Rushi Shah Promoted to Executive Vice PresidentFebruary 17, 2016
Aries Capital has promoted Rushi Shah to Executive Vice President on the firm’s Originations and Business Development Team. Based in Chicago, Shah is also President of LendingCap Commercial, Aries Capital’s online non-recourse loan platform that streamlines the commercial loan process. Since joining Aries in 2014, Shah has secured $100,000,000 in bridge and permanent financing on behalf of his commercial real estate owner clients nationwide.

He has quickly been recognized as an expert in the commercial mortgage business and his innovations in combining technology with old school real estate and finance expertise will help Aries Capital and LendingCap Commercial lead the industry into a new era of excellence in product and service,” said Aries Capital’s Chairman and CEO Neil Freeman.
Prior to his tenure at Aries, Shah held positions at Northern Trust in Chicago within the bank’s Private Equity Fund, Structured Finance and Hedge Fund groups. Shah holds an MBA from The University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Illinois at Chicago where he graduated with honors. Shah is a past fellowship recipient from the Riordan Fellows Leadership Development Program at the UCLA Anderson School of Management.
Hotel owner Kunal Dave of Laxmi Hotel Group has closed multiple loans with Shah.

Shah is a member of the Strategic Business Advisory Committee for the Asian American Hotel Owners’ Association (AAHOA), of which Aries is a Founding Member, and the Chicago chapter of the Real Estate Investment Association. He is also a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and as part of Aries, the Self Storage Association.
“I approach a client’s financing as an educator, advocate and financial expert. I look at a client’s financing request with an objective view and dissect the capital stack to optimize it to match my client’s goals,” said Shah.
